THE MOTHER WAGON: A SHORT STORY BY DAVID FARREN
read by Karin Gerber
Author's
note:
My introduction to the Craft
from the inside came through two remarkable women, Aislinn and Kishli
(their Craft names),
both well-known authors in the fantasy/SF fields and both deeply
involved in the
Craft, Aislinn as an apprenticed Gardnerian and Kishli as the product
of
a family tradition that accepted the deities of the old Norse and
Teutonic mythologies. Later I had the chance to share in
various Pagan gatherings and began to imagine what it might be like if
the old ways had been kept alive and not just reinvented. It is
with
great affection
that I dedicate this story to these wonderful priestesses, and the
invocation of Nerthus is a special tribute to Kishli.
